A verruca, also known as a plantar wart, is a lesion on the skin caused by a virus. In the same way as some people catch colds, some people catch the verruca virus. You are more likely to get a verruca if you use public places where there is exposure to water. E.g. Swimming Pools, Jacuzzi, Steam Rooms, communal showers (including hotel showers) etc.

The verruca virus can affect any age of patient but is most
prevalent in children, teenagers and young adults. It is important to treat a verruca to prevent it spreading on the same feet or to other family members. We also treat warts on the hands.

Fees for Verruca Treatments

There are many options for the removal and eradication of verrucas. You may have already tried some of the ‘off the shelf’ remedies from the chemist.

We offer three main options, natural remedies, chemical remedies or cryo surgery (freezing)

Natural remedies - clinic visit every 2 weeks £10.00 (per session)

Chemical Treatments £various
